May We Be Kind To The Unkind
May we be kind to the unkind ---
May we please speak kind words
to those who speak unkindly
to us,
If we must speak at all!
For those are the ones who
need it most,
They need a loving shoulder,
a loving hand,
as well as a loving touch ---
They need to know that someone cares,
even if it's but a few minutes,
a few seconds even ---
It pleases them to know that
someone cares,
even though they may not show it
directly ---
So let's not get angry,
let's not seek revenge ---
Let's be kind to the unkind
or else just leave them alone!
