MY PRAYER (Free Verse)
For so many years for you I've prayed and prayed,
For God above to change all your wrong ways;
But one day God just called your name,
And now I pray that you have made it Home
Years always have their little way,
To swiftly beneath all of us slip,
And you and I never had another chance;
To see each other's face to face again
When they told me about your passing,
My heart that day was broken right in two;
I felt back all that tearing pain 'cause I loved so,
It is so sad that I couldn't talk to you again.
Now there isn't anything more to do,
But to pray that you have made it Home;
They say that your soul was okay with Him,
There's no more suffering and pain for you.
I closed my eyes and prayed that you have made it Home.
