Somewhere
Somewhere
Somewhere....
You lost your grip
I loosened the clamps
and you are now
bleeding to death
Somewhere....
I lost my parent
in the storm of addiction
I was just a afterthought
the one you just put up with
Somewhere....
In the midst of a fight
a light bulb went off
and my heart was no longer soft
I grew a backbone
while you slowly
broke my heart
Somewhere....
Sometimes I do cry
it's not often anymore
but the wound remains sore
and I guess somewhere
I saw the writing
black ink on a white wall
blinding lighting
that revealed what I knew already
but it never meant
the pain didn't cause me to fall....
Somewhere along the way
I looked and saw distance
and I didn't go back
because of my own well being
some how you never left me
but still I am grieving.....
