Yesterday (If I could write it a letter)

Yesterday, you were here with me
only for a while,
You captured my innocence, you
reflected my smile.

Yesterday, you faded away into
the night,
Just when I needed you to make
me feel alright.

Yesterday, your gone forever
now,
If only you could come back
and take a bow.

Yesterday, your only a memory
I will treasure,
There's no love that I could
measure.

Yesterday, I'm sorry for I'm
going to have to let you go,
Keep our secrets between us
for only we should know.

Yesterday, I loved you when
you were here,
Now your fading into a
distant atmosphere.

Yesterday, I could only hold
you for so long,
A memory is all you are now
that you are gone.

Yesterday, I will look back
at you every now and then,
And hold you in my memory
like a long lost friend.
