 Reflections of Judy

For me and for you

Do you ever wonder why?
Jesus had to die?
Why He was crucified?
Tears come to my eyes,
When I think of,
what He chose to do,
Die on the cross,
for me and for you.

Do you ever contemplate?
The path He chose to take,
The nails,
the spikes,
The long painful nights,
Tears come to my eyes,
When I realize,
What He chose to do,
for me and for you.

It was for my sake,
Jesus sealed my fate,
For everlasting life,
Tears come to my eyes,
For what He chose to do,
for me and for you.

He carried the cross
to Calvary,
there He died for you and for me,

With spikes in His wrists,
and a spear in His heart,
Somewhere in the night,
He arose from the dark,

A crown of thorns made from a rose,
Now turned to a King's crown of  gold,
He left a path, for us to find,
He went to the cross,
with us on His mind.
