GOD SHOW ME THE WAY

I am lost
Your little lamb
The cost
Is that I am

You are all
My Heavenly Father
I go to you
You are not bothered

By all the sin
Of what to do
When there are men
Who want you

Fully you want
The love I give
Holy Ghost does haunt
The way I live

Flowing through me
Aberration of God's love
I cannot see
Light from above

That's shining there
Above cloud's cast
I know you care
Your love does last

Here in this soul
Where darkness calls
Your commands the goal
I shall not fall

In loving you
But what of them
They are not true
Having me sin

Loving them two
It's so confusing
What do I do
When there is choosing

That asks for me
I want to give
What do I do
How can I live

Knowing neither one
Will take me for a wife
Companion for man not won
I want to end this life

I pray this time:
"God show me the way"
A prayer in rhyme
Deep here will stay

It's all I ask
Let it be known
For God an easy task
To be alone

Though not for me
Made from his rib
My faithfulness
I long to give

To just one man
As though one God
Please help me understand
This thing so odd

One has a wife
One has a friend
Not in my life
Until the end

The way you are
Fully in this heart
Love's shining star
Reflects the part

Of you I keep
Close by my side
Don't have to weep
Your love doesn't hide

Behind the skirts
Of other women
There's not the flirts
Then pain that's swimming

Trying to drown me
When I need surrounding
With hands that free
Your love astounding

The grace you have given
I see it clear
Show me how to be living
With what is here

Where two of them both
Will not commit
What kind of promise
Can I fit

Into these lies
Where I am not allowed
God show me the way
I pray, head bowed.
