Autumn Splendor
Clear, crisp autumn air,
blue skies and
glorious rainbows after the rain,
streams tumbling over rocks,
icy water pouring over ledges,
silvery waterfalls in cascading sprays
churning the bubbling pools below,
myriad stars shine more brightly,
barns bulging with harvests
safely gathered in,
swift birds winging southward,
hillsides spread out
as far as you can see,
lovely mottled trees:
red, orange and yellow-green
transforming the leafstrewn ground
with varied colors!
Beauty everywhere,
like the stirring, cataclysmic finale
to a glorious symphony
created by a master artist!
