<*><*> My Battle <*><*>
Welcome to the beginning of this short one-act show
I have a few explanations that I think you'd like to know
You asked what are my intentions and where I'm going to go
When my time is over as I pass through death's dark door
This is to share with you how satan's game is played
he hides behind diguises so you will not be afraid
Sweet morsels of sin he will feed you pretty slow
Just to laugh at your downfall in the pit of hell below
his wicked thoughts will corrupt your mind in many little ways
And off the straight and narrow you'll slip to your dismay
You'll think life is your playground and pride will take control
The wordly things will glitter while he calmly steals your soul
By now you'll start to wonder how I can speak so well
About that buzzard's craftiness so I feel I have to tell
I've had bad experiences caused by satan's dirty tricks
he thought a stroke would knock me under though I remained like heavy bricks
My Savior took my place in battle as I laid deeply comatized
satan ceased further damage with Jesus at my side
The Lord fought my battle and brought me through the dark
I am sure you've noticed that I still wear the marks
I know you can see outward scars that proves my victory
But there are many scars inside that you cannot see
I am His forever and to this statement I testify
I pray He has my crown waiting on the day that I shall die
