It is awfully hard to say good-bye to those we love
Forever we want to keep them here with us
The good Lord has his own plan above
So much crying, sorrow, and fuss
Praying that one more day is all we need
Everyone gathering by the bedside
Crying and asking that not this time we plead
Faithfully we are begging for God to abide
No matter what we do or say
He calls each by name
It seems that God knows and already has his way
Truly this life is a mysterious game
Keep your strength our love ones are in his care
We must no longer cry
However, sometimes it doesn't seem fair
We have to let go and let God then say good-bye
