We are all in a family of poetic souls
That all see life in their own way~
Freedom of speech it still exists
In verse at least to this day~
With a little amount of decorum
One can tell it as it seems to be~
And put it all in a place like this
In their own perfect poetry~
A family that I belong to proudly
Writing things down that come to mind~
And who knows if you read right through them
My life's story you just might find~
Some things need to be written of
But at time I bight my lip ever so~
Change my mind , Leave it behind
And let a couple simply go~
All poets write in their very own way
I too write I guess in my style~
Of what I feel matters at the time
As I travel that same old country mile~
Hard times we have all known it's true
But we all strive to lend a hand~
As only a poet can try to do
Across life's vast oceans and the land~
A poetic family in many ways
With each and all's own personel poetic verse~
Belonging to a poetic family
For better or for worse~
