Poetry For Everyday People

We Can Fix The World

Pillow dreams
beneath your feet
cotton kisses
for your heart
Love's wings
carry you safe

home sweet
hot tea meditation
life's pain
contained wisdom
helplessness
is an illusion

we can fix the world

sunshine smiles
carry hope's blossom
laundry tumbling
Sunday folding warm
wine splashing
senses simmering

long days working
coming home lucky
cans of soup
boxes of popcorn
remote control
records scratching memories

we can fix the world

mind changing
light entering freedom
logic prevails
within true information
exterior's madness
substance free covers

more dreams
than put downs
more love
than reasonless hate
helping hands
a world united

we can fix the world.
