She's such a funny lass; my daughter!
And oh how we have such fun!
She phones me up to talk out her stress!
And it always starts with; ‘Mum! Look what he's done!'
You see he is a pain in the bum!
And drives her constantly mad!
And every time she calls me up,
It's usually always to do with her dad!
So I listen and sometimes we laugh,
And at other times I get so mad!
Because he demands of this, and barks at that!
Damn it, that's some kind of a rotten dad!
Then she tells me of the things he's said,
And the stuff he's done to cause her to be sad!
She never gets a minutes peace!
No, that's cos he's some kind of a dad!
He barks at her to come do this,
Or do that, and do the other!
And who does she call in a crisis?
Not her dad! But me, her mother!!!
But he doesn't think of how he hurts her,
With things he will say and do!
And she takes it on the chin, but it hurts!
But she always knows what to do!
Phone her mum, and tell her tale,
And pour her upset out to me!
Cos she knows that I will listen…
Because she knows I understand about he!!!
So I listen to it all, and at times I seethe!
Well, most times actually, yes, I do!
Cos he does her head in, and upsets her!
And so he does my head in too!
Can't he see the stress she's under?
She's a mum of three of her own!
A husband and another one the way,
But he constantly gets her on the phone!
He phones the home and if she's out,
He calls her mobile too!
Demanding she do this or that!
Cos he's a nuisance through and through!!
So now as her mum I am seething,
And I am ready to pull him up!
But she won't allow it, though I will do it!
Cos he's overflowing her stress level cup!
He thinks of no-one but himself,
To him, he's always been number one!
And no matter what, he demands the result,
Oh no, life with him just isn't any fun!
Stress is his middle name!
Why is that you ask?
Cos he's a damn pain!!!
