The moon spills tears upon the earth
across the plains and fields of wheat and corn.
Trailing her veils of pure white light
upon those hearts defeated and torn.
A spotlight which pierces the night sky
sultry sheets that gently drape each vale and hill.
Casting her holy magic into the darkness
bringing languid peace and thoughts that still.
Above the reaches of the infinite horizon
the giant sphere, that celestial flashlight
traces her elongated fingers across the terrain.
She illuminates and causes a shudder in the night.
