The Moon As Ifas if the moon was the dream of you and you dangled at the end of a star a dream within the night sky translucent tears dripped with the thought of dew-drop kisses while gentle sugared-sighs hovered near to my heart but the moon was forgotten with the incandescent light of your gossamer-winged lashes where was the comparison? as if the moon could compare to the circle of your universal arms your ever-expanding lover's embrace what then? what more could I ask? to steal the dream, to pursue it no...never to suffer its loss only to know its immeasurable gain Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
