BARING ARMS


Comes to me without a gun
Ready to fire off
Sweet surprises of love
Without shell shock

Something on my back
Warm not blood
Heats up inside
Fearing heart pounds

Anxious for war
Without weapons of destruction
Bodies burn in fire yet
No mass grave to dig

Fighting gives way to peace
Hold up those white flags
Surrender and wave glory
Baring arms we fall together.
