 BLACKBEARDS PIRATES

"Blackbeards Pirates" is another verse from my extensive "Salisbury Tales" series.

The pirates of Penzance...
Do a merry dance...
Set like a jewel...
Into the crown...
Upon Saint Michael's Mount.
Edward Teach...
Was such a peach...
While sitting upon the beach...
Robbing the English fleet.
King Arthur...
Had his castle...
Along the coast of Tintagel.
While Saint Ives...
Was just a Hive for Irish Folk.
Who wished...
To join their kinsfolk...
From Cork...
Saint Mawes...
Has some very sharp claws...
While the Jolly Roger...
Comes fourth from Perranporth.
Saint Agnes...
Will whip you with a cat-o-nine tails...
From Strippy Strappies...
Which will make your mistress...
Very happy...
Whealies Kitties...
Has panther claws just like jaws...
Which she will sink deep...
Into your sweaty pores...
Armed Knights...
Love to fight...
Passing ships...
In the dead of night...
The Spanish...
Ravished Mowsell...
While serving sherry...
To all the ripe berries...
Which made them pretty heavy for heaven.
Padstow has a hot stove...
Which is a stone's throw...
From the smugglers cove...
As Looe...
Just loves Winnie the Pooh...
And Roger Rabbit...
Just for their habits...
Cornish folk...
Will treat you...
To pilchards smoked by oak...
In a bottomless moat...
Which is meant to float...
Portia's brilliant wit was a hit...
While Miranda...
Sits on the veranda...
Under a Venetian blind...is so kind.
To all the caskets in baskets.
