Soul Mate
We all have feelings
we all have a heart,
we all have place in
this world to do our part.
We are all different
we do not look the same,
Race, color, religion
we all have a name.
We have different beliefs
and may not get along,
the mysteries of life
where we sing our own song.
Some may push away those
who they do not understand,
they give them a mark,
they give them a brand.
Fighting is common
among the human race,
many a people just want
their own space.
They may not mingle
with difference in mind,
many choose to be
with their own kind.
Although it shouldn't matter
the creed or the race,
black, white or brown
some feel out of place.
Among those of difference
shown on the outside,
learn to look beyond
and see what's on the inside.
Inside we are alike in some ways
that's just how we came,
in you I see no difference
and I love you just the same.
