I had a mate that once bought a fantastic car
He had seen it in a sale back then~
A car he had always wanted so
I will always remember when~
He took it home driving ever careful
And polished it with glee~
It was painted a iridescent blue
Inside looked like Ecstasy~
Then he took it for a good fast drive
and much to his dismay~
It had a strange knock in the engine
So he took it back the next day~
They checked it and they checked it
Could not find a single thing~
Wrong with it in any way
Three days later again he gave them a ring~
There's a noise in my car mate
Every time I take it for a spin~
Down the road or highway
And at times it makes a din~
So he took it back to them again
This was costing him a quid or two~
Every time he returned it to them
It coast more money true~
After the longest time and many checks
The bumping it insisted~
And there upon his wallet hand
It seems of late it almost blistered~
One day he was getting so upset with it
He drove it ever fast~
I'll knock this knock out of my car
Surely it can't last~
Without a lot of warning
Another car appeared with a roar~
And side bashed my mates car real hard
Wrecking his back end and his rear door~
He took it to the panel beaters
To get it all redone~
And he got a call upon the phone from them
Laughing out loud as if in fun~
They asked have you had a knock in your car
That you thought could not be found~
Well come down here we have something to show you
You will like this I'll be bound~
When he went down they had the back mud guard off
And in a metal pocket then he saw~
A empty coke bottle hanging that was welded in
And then a note in it he saw~
It read .. Bet it took you ages mate
To find the likes of this for sure~
It had cost him short of a fortune too
But at least his car don't knock now any more~
