Love Never Leaves
Love Never Leaves
How it's changing
only us two know
the secrets that live
inside of each other's souls
we promise each other letters,
postcards and visits
but change has a funny way
of changing agreements
so in case time changes what once was
know that I won't say goodbye
because love never does
The bags are getting packed
mom and dad being weepy
they know I will be back
just not wanting to miss moments,
they think real fast
of anything they are forgetting
thinking too much
but that's what parents do
it's not forever
just four years of school
You show up
to help me out
saying I take too long
I tell you I am slow
and you're a grouch
you laugh and say I already know that
oh how I am going to miss
biting your head off,
you putting me in my place
telling me my family is insane
recalling when the days was simple
like playing tag and board games....
The church is getting packed

my wedding dress hanging
just not wanting to miss moments,
they think real fast
of anything they are forgetting
thinking too much
but that's what parents do
this time it's forever
because the wedding starts at two......
