My Cross
Today many carry and wear a sign
We thought to ask if it were mine
That gave my life for them to live
Do they show mercy and forgive?
Do you bear what I once wore
Against darkness as once before
Who came to save a world gone bad
Does your cross bleed as mine once had
Cool some think is what I feel
Yet my sign in vain they steal
To show off what their bodies fair
Yet in their heart not me they wear
What sins did I commit when you
Decide to wear ornate tattoos
Was it to tell of me who saved
Or a knockoff that you craved
The cross I wore bears my sign
To guide all lost by one divine
That washes sin from those who choose
Me who loves, or sin to lose
You'll need not sweat or carry one
Across the city under Hot Sun
Be spat upon, or whipped and bruised
Just thought this picture you could use
But be Holy as I am Holy
And dedicate your life wholly
To me the son of man who said
I will return and raise the dead
