GRAND THEFT

Your home is not my home
You say it's never going to be
Off you go to roam
To the home of Marie

Now I understand we're close
You were here cooking dinner
You love me the most
Still, she is the winner

Of you living there
Over ten years your friend
Where I have to not care
Until it does really end

When will it
Within the year
How do I chill it
The heat in here

My passion it wanes
You're a difficult man
I live with the pains
Because I don't understand

Why a home is not yours and mine
Why you continue to leave
Why I write this poetry to whine
When I must let you go and grieve

Give myself the peace
That I so long for
Because you and her don't cease
Even though I serve you more

Bounce for the buck
Smiles then the laughter
It's just my luck
I'm not what you're after

And these men write to me
Promise me I would shine
If I'd let them set their love free
They would be all mine

No other woman roommate where they live
They are old and lonely
I'd be the only woman for to give
Their love just for me only

Why cannot you be this way
Why do others call me a fool
Because you go there at the end of the day
My love runs hot then cool

How do I get it colder
What's a woman to do
Be strong, try to be bolder
Or just go on with you

Hoping for gold at the end of the rainbow
After rain has fallen to the ground
It's a fairy tale we all know
Because she steals the gold I should have found.
