LET IT RAIN

LET IT RAIN

Let it rain let it pour
Let thy showers of blessings flow
Let the living waters come
From thine Heaven to earth below

We are parched we are dry
Kiss with love each falling drop
From shrivelled hearts is the cry
Let the downpour never stop

The scorching sun the heat of day
Drinks the moisture that keeps alive
Without thy rain that quenches thirst
None of us can survive

The panting soul needs the pouring
It longs for clouds of rain to burst
When water droplets kiss our lips
Quick we drink to quench our thirst

Let it rain let it pour
Let falling showers never be done
For we know Lord life giving water
Comes from thine own blessed Son
