When I need words to write
When I reach inside my heart
Try with all my might
To spill forth my feelings
To let others understand my flow
Let them in a world
That only so few actually know
When I need that fire
That thing to inspire me
When I profoundly express my love
Through this I call out your name
One that others would kill to have
So when I say this
No other can claim this

From the moment I open
To the moment I close my eyes
From sunrise to sunrise
In my thoughts is where you dwell
In my heart you have created
A place that only one can call home
When others invite themselves in
You politely kick them out
And they quickly beat feet
Not a change in my heart’s tempo
I never knew they were at the door
I’m still in this zone so deep
Keeping the instrument’s beat
Even hear it in my sleep
Giving me the sweetest dream
One I won’t let go
Through it I know you love me
