Poetry For Everyday People

Turn It To Suit You

Sitting on the floor
in my closet
thinking about time,
about company for my mind,
about art for my soul,

understanding seems
a far away place,
a journey a few make,

there have been many times
in my life where
I prayed for moon light
peace and stars
yet I got
hard rain and darkness,

so I learned to play
Billie Holiday records,

sip wine,

write poetry
for those in need,
as I.
