Sinful Lies
The Lord has not lost His strength,
He can still go the whole length;
He still hears and answers prayer,
Whatever we want to share.
But sometimes your door is locked,
Because your sin has it blocked;
God is not able to hear,
Regardless on how sincere.
When your talk is filled with lies,
The truth is held in your eyes;
Just as the webs spiders weave,
Soon will catch those who deceive.
All the fingers on your hand,
Covered with blood where you stand;
Leaving a stain that will stay.
And will not wash when you stray.
Only from the crimson tide,
Able to cleanse deep inside;
If you will merely confess,
God is just willing to bless.
