That's How You Make It Big
She says I
I say we
she says me
I say us
she says mine
I say ours
as life speeds past
slow dreams and love
dances with wings,
miracles happen to those
who work for it, relentlessly
and without integral compromise,
this ride isn't for the faint
of heart, it's for soul gladiators,
no body makes it alone man
and if they tell you they did:
their lying,
put your hands together
watch each other's backs
keep each other's secrets
don't do anybody wrong
full heart ahead
and blues on home.
