EVENING TIME AT MULLION

EVENING TIME AT MULLION

Last night on a visit to Mullion Cove
While looking out to sea my eye did rove,
I saw it raise its head out of the sea
Nothing ominous it was just a seal.

I waited and watched to see it once more
I did see it but it was way off shore,
A little black head popped out of the sea
Swimming merrily and born to be free.

Last year I spotted a beautiful ray
I love this fish so it just made my day,
The fisherman threw back what he had caught
The ray quickly took it, it was what it sought.

There`s also the giant crabs to be seen
With their huge pincers it makes them look mean,
The harbour wall is the place to be
You`ve a good view down into the sea.

The sun setting the light fading fast
The sun on the sea makes a good contrast,
The lone fisherman casts his line once again
But as he reels it in, it was all in vain.

There is always people mulling about
They love to watch the tide go in and out,
A quaint place with a magic of its own,
A fondness for the place I found has grown.
