Happy
Happy
This time a different greeting
oh put a pillow over
all the sorrow and grief
and you can say I don't care
for the first time
in a long time
guilt don't live here
so I know my reasons
and I gave you
some of my best years
the excuses have expired
the smile has appeared.....
Forever always seems
to be around to begin
but I drove the long road
and it seems it's never around to end
so it was never that good
just dirt and grim on the hood
but I decided your best tries
was all I ever had
and I woke up
never feeling enough
never satisfied
and I can say for the first time I don't care
what I thought was permanent
really wasn't even there
so I know my own heart
and I gave it to you
the rest of my future
I won't allow it to be bruised
the habits need not a introduction
I finally know what's real
and what's loving
so I pronounce myself happy and fit
I think I deserve it
happy in my own dressing
just had to learn
some life lessons.....
