 Worry

Perhaps you are just in a hurry
But your life is filled with worry
No matter how often you pray
You are still fearful day by day

When a crisis comes in your life
Worry is how you handle strife
You can feel your rapid heartbeat
It is difficult to sleep or even eat

You already have high blood pressure
Controlled by prescription to a measure
Still the doctor continues to warn you
To manage your stress in all areas too

Maybe you need to learn to trust in God
He is in control of the path that you trod
When you worry, you are not praying
When you pray, you are not worrying

Leave with Him your worry and care
Don't take back what you place there
Faith trusts God fully in the unknown
Not handling the problem on your own

Why worry or be gripped by fear or doubt
When half of those things never come about?
The rest is either not in our control at any hour
Or God will find a way as we rely on His power

Matthew 6:26-27 (AMP)
Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather
into barns, and yet your heavenly Father keeps feeding them.
Are you not worth much more than they?  27 And who of you
by worrying and being anxious can add one unit of measure
(cubit) to his stature or to the span of his life?
