What is it that makes us happy?
What is it that makes us smile?
The fluffiness of a tiny kitten
The gurgles of a baby child
Sweet smell of honeysuckle
Filtering through open window
Bouncing on a trampoline
Arms waving, legs akimbo
A walk over wildest heather
Craggy moors and purple hues
A snippet of neighbourly gossip
Something good to report in the news
The taste of fresh English strawberries
A deserted beach and walk along shore
Collecting horse chestnuts in Autumn
Lying on a cold marble floor
A glass of wine sipped alfresco
The buzz of bees invading free pollen
A barbeque sizzling and succulent
Picking apples just after they've fallen
A myriad of treasures bestowed upon us
No charge, no payment required
Beautiful occasions at their very best
Leave me in awe and truly inspired
