Sometimes it's hard, so very hard,
To see the light at the tunnels end!
But see it you must, oh but yes!
Before peace can become your friend!
You had an accident in your past,
And had an operation your brain,
Epilepsy, oh, but I know of that too!
And life just hasn't been the same!
We all have glitches in life you know,
But we cant live in pity, fear or dread!
Cos life is short, and so very precious;
At least you're alive and not dead!
No one said life was a picnic!
We're not prepared for the dreaded unseen!
But it happens, and it's called ‘tough!'
Cos a perfect life is in our dream!!
But life ‘is' what we make it!
And though at times it's pretty mad!
You have to turn the negative around!
And be happy, but never sad!
Wallowing on the bad past in life -
Is truly a total waste of time!
So tell yourself each and every day;
‘Yep, I'm focused, and I'm just fine!'
See how much better you'll feel!
When you put the horrid past to bed!
Channel your thoughts to the future,
And stop living your life in dread!
It's so easy to give up the fight!
And much harder to face the bad!
But I say this, ‘Never give in!
Be happy and smile, don't be sad!'
One brain op, epilepsy, so what?
At least you've a plate in your head!
So if you fit, or fall, or bang it,
At least you wont end up dead!
I think you'd rather have that problem,
Than the one with my head!
Cos trust me true; if I was you, and I mean it,
I'd be so made up instead!
So there's a positive thought for you,
Now always keep that in mind!
And when you are focused you'll have won,
No more looking behind!
So ok, I walked a similar path to you!
And I'm not saying it was great!
In fact, it was really tough at times!
And at times I was in a state!
But I deal with it cos that's the way it is;
And yeah, I guess it's tough,
But no matter what, nope, no matter what,
I always survive the rough!
So get your head into gear today!
And remember what I've said!
Stay focused on positive thoughts;
Be thankful you're alive, not dead!
So chin up Corin, leave the past behind;
Look to the future you've got!
You only have one chance, one life you know,
Literally only one shot!
So make it count, make your life good,
And stop living in the past!
Only you can make it good!
So put the past in the past at last!
So stop wallowing in the past lad!!
And remember what I've said!
Focus, be positive lose the pain!
And be thankful you're not dead!
And don't use the ‘accident' as an excuse –
Cos that excuse is in your head!!
You're problem dear Corin, is the epilepsy!!

Been there done that, yeah,
And I still wear the damn T-shirt like you do!!
But if I can survive it, cos I damn well have!
Then I say it, so can you!!!
Excuses may wash on others,
