 THE   END   OF   LOVE
The train moved slowly from the station
And our love was to end where it had begun

I stood trembling on the edge of the platform
Blinded by warm tears and
Teetering on the brink of passion
Waving to a carriage
That was disappearing, taking with it
My broken heart

Elusive dreams flew to the wind
And all I could see
Was a speck as it fiercely gathered pace
And hastened out of my life for good

How different
The months had swelled with happiness
Each moment had been a pearl to be treasured
And now
Living without you
Will be the hardest thing I will ever have to do
In my life
