Petes Poetry

Circle

We all have choices.
We all have to make a decision.
The white flag is hoisted.
Asking if this life is worth living.

I surrender to this war.
As there will never be a winner.
Hope is what I'm looking for.
Possibly maybe a glimmer.

I've been used.
That's what you get for being a user.
Choice maybe excused.
Because i didn't really choose her.

But she put me on the same old track.
The one where there is no way back.

Only a circle that lead to debt.
Only a circle of friends that I wish I'd never met.
Only a circle out for what they can get.
only a circle that has no end yet.

Now I'm dizzy.
Now she's too busy.

The damage was all self inflicted.
The truths all conflicted.

Somehow we are kind of the same.
Filled with selfish desire.
Somehow trying to mask the pain.
But it's time for us to retire.
With only knowledge to gain.
Fueling the fire.

Pete.
