Petals In The Grass
Lost Words
An ivory man
Gives his decree
Nobody notices
Nobody cares
A lost minstrel
With nowhere to go
His words fall short
Caught up in his disgust
He finds himself offensive
And so he leaves
Notebook, and pen in hand
Loosing words to eternity
They are his only real possesions
Just not today
Lost words mean nothing
Gone forever
Shows his true mortality
Gives his decree
Nobody notices
Nobody cares
A lost minstrel
With nowhere to go
His words fall short
Caught up in his disgust
He finds himself offensive
And so he leaves
Notebook, and pen in hand
Loosing words to eternity
They are his only real possesions
Just not today
Lost words mean nothing
Gone forever
Shows his true mortality
