MEMORIES

When memories of yesterday come,
unexpectedly into my mind.
Most times they are more then welcomed,
but others not wanted at all.

When memories of past happiness drop in,
my whole soul lights up from within.
Other memories not so pleasant at all,
making me want to crawl.

Still all these memories of mine,
whether pleasant, sad, sorrow, or joy.
Make me the person I am,
with child-like hope of becoming --
the person hidden within.
