 Gracious to Others

It may not be easy to show others grace
When you are wronged in the first place
If a friend gets away with a thing or two
Teach them a good lesson is what you do

Someone plows into your car from behind
You are late with other things on your mind
It is easy to be angry at their carelessness
Be thankful it is minor and show kindness

Suppose you meet a new person at work
They always joke around, acting like a jerk
It is so tempting to analyze and compare
See them in God's eyes, taking time to care

Your neighbor lives a very rich lifestyle
She has everything in fashion and style
You are jealous, knowing it is not right
Realize your true value in God's sight

If you and I could put on special lenses
We would suddenly come to our senses
By seeing captions of the needs of others
We could know how to help one another

By staying in tune with the Spirit as He leads
God will direct us how to meet their needs
As we are faithful and willing to do our part
We will show them grace and His love impart

Colossians 4:6 (NIV)
Let your conversation be always full of grace,
seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to
answer everyone.
