How I wish I owned my own grocery store
I could shop whenever I cared
Aisles and aisles of produce set out
And absolutely no expense spared
No matter the time of day or night
The convenience would be for me
Everything I could dream of all in the one place
And open at the turn of a key
No more grappling to find the last available trolley
No more colliding into mountainous display
No more competing to get to an empty checkout
‘Cos now I wouldn't even have to pay
My pet peeve is when people stand there chattering
Beside the baked beans or something that I desperately need
I end up apologising to them for my very existence
Eventho' I have hungry mouths to feed
So my store would be a veritable palace
Stocked with my favourite brands on shelf
A cornucopia of heavenly luxuries
I might have to make a total pig of myself
