ENGLAND   36

Muscle bound men
With their tight white jersey's
Came storming onto the pitch.
They had been coached
To within an inch of their lives
And now wanted play without a hitch.

Hordes of fans had collected
With varied face paints
And banners and flags and songs.
This was where the action was set
Goal posts waiting
Players ran strong.

They tested each other with defiance
Shoulders locked tight
And a scrum was set.
Wilkinson ran with the ball
Abetted by Sackey
Though the opposing team were a dangerous threat.

A blast of whistle and the fight was over
A blaze of glory for England's sweet team
In a weeks time they will play Australia
At a foreign venue called Marseille.
We are all praying and keeping our fingers crossed
Our special rugby guys will play well on the day.
