Ladies Out Lunching
Ladies out lunching-
lettuce leaves munching-
each with a buzz
in their brain.
Ladies all chatter-
lettuce leaves scatter-
words flying fast
clear and plain.
Ladies all sipping-
wine from lips dripping-
each with a smile
on their face.
Ladies all tasting-
none of them wasting-
words whirling
fighting for space.
Ladies all dreaming-
each of them scheming-
drinking their coffee
so hot.
Ladies all sharing-
each of them caring-
each shooting
thoughts on the spot.
Joy Weare.
