Just checking every five minutes
To see where I am being taken
I'm on this path you see
The thing is, I don't know
Where it is I'm meant to be
It is a wayward path
With many twists and turns
Circling, confusing me
Until I no longer know where to be
The path holds many dangers
Unknown to innocence
Amazement and fascination leads me on
Curiosity holds me tight
There are so many junctions
With colours Oh so tempting
Attracting me to their door
But then another colour
Will shout out even more
There are so many things
For me to see and learn
A varied hue of colours
For which my soul does yearn
I stand a while to absorb
The colours which surround
Letting them flow over and through me
Allowing my spirit to be free
A gentle lilac-pink gently leads me away
But then a purple blue, it too has its say
Shining out brightly a sunny yellow -green
Such vibrancy I've never before seen
But one colour calls so quietly
It makes me stop to listen
A pure white light of gentle hue
It encourages me as to what I should do
I step towards this gentle light
And now the steps I take are right
This light will not lead me astray
Finally I have found my path today!
