Splitting Image

There were these two people whom said they loved
one another so they got married. They each said in
their hearts, "With a little pruning here and there
I will have the perfect mate." So they started picking
at each other. They picked away each other ears, so they
didn't listen to one another. They picked away the eyes,
so they weren't able to see the beauty each had. They picked
away their bodies, so they weren't able to touch each other with
passion. Finally they picked away their hearts, so they weren't
able to love each other. The only thing that was left were two
skeletons staring at one another. Then they said to one another
at the same time, " See...now you look more like me."
