UNDER THE SKIN
My exterior is a mill-pond
Calmness and serenity behold
Look deeper and another story
Awaits to be told
A volcano erupts under this skin of mine
A seething passion unnerves my soul
Wasted in a tormented island
Losing all sense of control
Worries that echo in this heart of mine
Black caverns in forests of doom
Thunder storms beat on this heavy brow
Casting shadows in tormented room
Fear not, for I will hold this close to me
Sharing with you I would not contemplate
All I afford in this world of mine
Be it alone I will remonstrate
