Self Image
The view you have of yourself
May be like a turtle by itself
All wrapped up in a hard shell
Not even knowing if all is well
God does not look down on you
By failure in the things you do
Satan is the one who will deceive
It is up to you to ask him to leave
God created man on the sixth day
You are unique in your own way
In God's image beyond compare
No one else is like you anywhere
You are worth more than a sparrow
The depth of His love is not narrow
It spans wider than the largest sea
It is beyond measure for you and me
True beauty is not on the outside
But God looks at your heart inside
It may be dark by sin and its stain
Or clean and free from the chains
God's Son was sent to earth to die
He suffered so much for you and I
To forgive mankind of all our sins
He alone makes you whole within
Strength in Him to do all things
For Jesus cares about everything
He has a special purpose for you
In the plans He has for you to do
1 Samuel 16:7b (NIV)
The LORD does not look at the things man looks at.
Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD
looks at the heart.
