NEW     COLOURS

Where dullness once resided
A new spark has emerged
My heart is lit with thoughts of you
Instead of living half submerged

Meadows are now thronged
With bright buttercups and daisies
No longer in my soul
Lives uncertain frailties

A fine palette He has created
For Mother Nature's use
The sky is a fresh blue
That thunder storms dare not abuse

In this luminous pool
The sun is proud to dangle all day
Tiny birds sing a vivid song
As they dive and display

Words are clearer, smiles are brighter
Even a rainy day holds its own style
This new happiness is a colour
I haven't seen for some while

Ask the artist to come
And capture this loving thought for me
Brush strokes on a canvas
That my mind can always see
