ChristmasHello: Over the past 5 months I have co written 2 poems with my 12 year old granddaughter. Both poems are here on my site. I have encouraged her to try to write a poem on her own. Yesterday she sent me this Christmas poem she composed on her own. We hope you like it. Christmas The Carolers are all out As they sing with praise The kids run about Everyone is saying the phrase Merry Christmas Everyone is in a good mood While they stuff their faces with food While people pass the rolls They put food in their bowls Merry Christmas The Christmas tree is lit While we sit around it We set out Santa's milk While we wear our pajamas made of silk Merry Christmas We wake up the next day And under the tree presents lay As we race to open them As we remember what happened in Bethlehem Merry Christmas Caitlin Avery Salyer Nov 26, 2007 Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
