CHRISTMAS SHELVESThe shelves are being stocked for Christmas They groan under the almighty weight I've never seen so many boxes of chocolates before And baskets filled with nuts and dates For that special time will be upon us soon Carols ringing from heaven upon high Merriment and joy will strengthen in our lives Bright angels will sing in the sky Wreaths will be fashioned from holly and berries Adorning doors and special places of remembrance Garlands and coloured tinsel and baubles Will drape and festoon every house entrance Homes will be warm and lovingly decorated Bringing cheer to the chilly weather outside In our hearts we will always love Christmas time Tis the season where friends and enemies put troubles aside Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem |
