They Called Him A DreamerHe was born within a dysfunctional marriage He dreamed of better days~ Happier times that were not then To feel content within in all ways~ He never saw any real love at home Not when he was just a lad~ He dreamed of one day finding The true love some others say they had~ His dreams and vision of two being inlove Were two that simply could not live at all~ Not without each other being side by side From the very day inlove they both did fall~ He wondered through life searching for same Within his heart was this same song~ He had never been inlove before But he knew he'd know it when it came along~ He always gave his best and did the same But so often it was never enough it seemed~ However they were not giving him what he gave them The love in which he'd always dreamed~ Moving on as life would have him do Rolling with the punches he went his way~ still searching for a feeling he knew he'd know When he found real true love one day~ The longest time it seemed to pass He was doubting his dreams might come true~ And then one day come what may His dreams became reality as sometimes dreams they do~ He knew then that he could have settled For what was not actually true love~ Making do is not love so true Or satisfying others dreams hand in glove~ His true love she had just come along And she was exactly as he was within~ Felt the same come sun or rain Since the day he and she begin~ There is no timing for true love It does not work to our own plans~ It's knows when the time is right for you Till then it's like an ocean of shifting sands~ To look for it he knew by now All his searching was some what a waste of time~ As dreams come true if only you Believe in them right on down the line~ Fate it has a mind of it's own It waits for you to learn~ Till the day in every way Your appreciation for true love you have earned~ Now these two are so very close as one Identical in every single way~ Nothing but themselves could have this end And that could not happen forever and a day~ As each live for each other so Needing to be side by side all of the time~ Rich or poor for ever more Two souls perfectly inlove and in rhyme~ Terrence Michael Sutton Copyright 2007 Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
