Sometimes it's hard to find the answers
Sometimes we don't know which way to turn
Sometimes everything seems to be a mystery
Though by these things, do we ever learn
Knowing when to let go is traumatic
Do we stay because familiarity is the easy option
Or do we let go
And allow ourselves to walk in another direction
Knowing when we must leave a lover
Knowing the path of love is no more
Can be so very painful
Yet it is brave to face the door
The big wide world can be a cruel place
Cold shoulders and a new way to live
Better this and start all over again
With a new heart we will learn to give
