Who could ever make a monkey laugh?
He was a friend to everyone
His work was his passion
Became an artwork to his form
This man of gypsy spirit
Never opted for the norm
His smile is in the heavens
His song is on the wind
He came back home to say "Goodbye"
And with his spirit mend
He'll always be remembered
For being folly in his 'child-like' jokes,
The way he had since birth
And for us whom he had left behind
Friends, siblings, wife and kids
We will miss him when reunion comes
It's hard to forget a man once named "Boge"
Now, his soul is out there wandering
Upon a new adventure hunt
God took him as a cableman
To install a line from heaven
Within our own sad hearts
We'll see it soon enough I think
It will surely be a thing of beauty
Enough to cause a change
Along the skyway's internet
He'll share the goodness of heaven
Within the waves of skyline
He'll talk of God, divine.
He will deliver God's messages
Directly to our hearts
All we do is listen
And heed a more good life
Alas! he found his wanderlust
He'll sit beside our father
And our very-missed mother
They will attend reunions
Along with our dear departed souls
This man of a giant heart
Will never part from us
His laughters will be heard
Its floating on the air
We'll miss his nightingale voice
Like a tuning fork in the crowd
If we want to hum along
It's contagious, we'll vocalize aloud
Somehow we grieve but it'll be brief
If we let him go soon
He'd fly free to the moon
In heaven there is no beer
But his cup is filled with cheer
So now we wave farewell to you
It will never be goodbye for sure
This poem is dedicated to my late brother, Rogelio a.k.a. Boge, who have worked dedicatedly at SKY CABLE Co., Philippines for 15 years. How its employees will miss my brother, a friend to everyone. He is now our cable in the sky, a connection to God, a line from heaven. We will miss you brother...
