Words of Life, Love and Praise

A Winter's Wish for Spring

Oh, I beg -
Let me be free,
I fear it not too much to ask-
As I lay among the crisp leaves
And the depth of winter grass…
Let me enjoy the air
And the fresh scent once before there
That had breath among the wind~
I so long for the aroma
Of rose and jasmine
Among these dank musty leaves
Oh so cold, so cold…
But to touch the silken freshness
Of spring,
Indeed, such a wonderful thing…
As this earth grows new
Doth too, this spirit,
For I, much as a sprite
This spirit will take flight,
And revel among Gods new life-
Oh, for such freshness revealed
For those who are awake
To fully enjoy such a glorious gift…
